CLEARWATER, Fla. - In the final game of a four game set that also marked the final matchup of the 2018 season between the Bradenton Marauders and the Clearwater Threshers, Clearwater completeda four game sweep and stretched the Marauders losing streak to ten games, a mark that sets a new Bradenton franchise record for most losses consecutively in order.
The first offense came in the bottom of the first inning for the home side when Major League rehabber Pedro Florimon tripled off Marauders starting pitcher RHP Pedro Vasquez to lead off the inning, and was driven in when Brett pope committed an error to make the score 1-0 after one. Clearwater struck again in the bottom of the second for another run when Kyle Martin doubled to lead off the frame and was dirven around on a two out double by Florimon, the second of his three hits in the Threshers win. The home side struck in a major way in their half of the fifth inning for the final runs of the ballgame.
The Marauders finish their four game set with the final game against the Clearwater Threshers on Thursday, with RHP Pedro Vasquez on the hill against LHP David Parkinson for the home side, with first pitch scheduled for 7 pm.
