BRADENTON, Fla. - In the final game of a four game series between the Bradenton Marauders and the Fort Myers Miracle, Oddy Nunez worked through eight hitless frames before lightning and a severe downpour ended the game as official with the Marauders due up in the bottom half of the eighth inning. The only Miracle batters to reach against Nunez included a pair of walks and a hit by pitched worked by Twins #3 prospect Alex Kiriloff in the visitor's half of the seventh. The Bradenton starter struck out six batters on 98 pitches over his no-hit outing to earn his third win of the season while the offense backed him up for five runs.

Bradenton got on the board first in the bottom of the fifth inning in the historic win. After Alfredo Reyes and Bligh Madris both singled, catcher Hunter Owen tripled to the gap in right-center field to score the first pair on his third triple of the season. While Oddy took care of the Fort Myers bats, Jared Oliva clubbed a bases clearing double in the seventh to extend the home lead and bring his season RBI total to 32, a mark good for second place on the team.

The first no-hitter in the nine year history of the Bradenton Marauders was not the longest in to a game that a Marauders pitcher had gone hitless. On June 1st, 2011 Kyle McPherson held Brevard County without a hit through 8.1 innings before giving up a home run for the only run against him in a 4-1 Marauder win. The victory is Bradenton's first of the second half of the season, finishing the four game series with Fort Myers falling by a total 3-1 game tally.

The Marauders are off on Tuesday before heading to Roger Dean Stadium in Palm Beach to take on the Cardinals, the first half FSL South Division champions. RHP Luis Escobar will toss in the inaugural game of the set at 6:30 pm on Wednesday.
