DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - In the middle game of a three game weekend set on the road in Daytona, the Bradenton Marauders dropped a back and forth affair to the Daytona Tortugas on a hit by pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth on Saturday night. A 6-5 final, the contest featured three lead changes on "The Big Shellbowski Night" at The Jack, a promotion centered around the Jeff Bridges cult classic film released in 1998.

Trailing 1-0 heading in to the top of the fourth inning, two runners reached ahead of shortstop Adrian Valerio, who proceeded to blast his fifth home run of the season on a shot that went well over the left field wall at 103 MPH off the bat to give the Marauders their first lead. With the score knotted up at four in the visitor's half of the sixth inning, Garrett Brown recorded the final of his three singles on the night on a bunt base hit down the first base line and was ultimately scored on a Jared Oliva base knock that featured Brown flying around three bases to score on the single. Daytona plated a tying run in their half of the eighth inning and loaded the bases with nobody out in the bottom of the ninth in a tie game before designated hitter Tyler Stephenson was hit by a pitch for a walkoff winner.

Gavin Wallace worked through six innings in his second Marauders start and spread out twelve hits and four earned runs while registering a single strikeout and walk in a no decision over just 77 pitches. Ryan Hendrix earned the victory for Daytona after breezing through the top of the ninth with a pair of strikeouts in his only inning of work in the contest.

The Marauders finish their three game set on the road with a 5:35 pm start in the rubber match of the series on Sunday with RHP Mike Wallace following up his brother Gavin on the mound in the series finale.
