BRADENTON, Fla. - On a Sunday matinee start at LECOM Park, the Charlotte Stone Crabs stole the final game of the three game series after dropping the first two to the Bradenton Marauders. The 10-1 defeat moved the Marauders final first half record against Charlotte to 3-3, with each team stealing a single game on the road in matching three game series, both in the month of May. Five combined arms for the home side allowed double digit hits (12) and walks (10) for the first time this year in the loss, with ten walks marking a new season high as well.
Charlotte scored a run in the first inning on a ground out and kept the offense rolling from that point. Three more runs scored in the fourth inning on a trio of walks followed by two hits including a bases clearing double with two outs. Another four scores came across in the next inning for the visitors on four hits and another three walks to make the score 8-0 after five. The final two runs were plated in the seventh inning on three hits while both runs were driven in by 2017 first round pick
