Durham Goes for Fifth Straight Win Tonight

Teaford, Bulls aim for perfect homestand against Clippers
August 23, 2015

The Durham Bulls (63-66) aim to complete a perfect homestand when they take on the Columbus Clippers (72-56) Sunday at 5:05 p.m. Tonight is LEGO Night, while Kids Run the Bases postgame presented by Nature's Twist.

After earning a win in each of their last four games, Durham sends LHP Everett Teaford (4-8, 5.56) to the hill. The southpaw has allowed one earned run or fewer in seven straight appearances, with five of those outings coming out of the bullpen. Over his last two starts though, he's surrendered just one run in seven innings.

Taking the mound for Columbus is RHP Will Roberts (2-3, 3.52), making his ninth start of the season for Columbus after a mid-season promotion from Double-A Akron. Over his first seven starts with the Clippers, the 25-year-old has allowed three earned runs or fewer seven times while posting five quality starts.

Durham's offense has been hot lately, scoring 38 runs over the first four games of this homestand. In that span INF/OF Richie Shaffer has gone 9-for-18 with eight RBI, while INF/C JP Arencibia is 6-for-14 with seven RBI.
