Canadians Release Promotional Schedule
(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - The Vancouver Canadians have proudly unveiled the 2014 Promotional Schedule giving fans of all ages more reasons than ever to come out to historic Scotiabank Field and cheer on the three-time, defending Northwest League Champions.
With Opening Night slated for Wednesday, June 18th at 7:05pm, the Canadians will play 38 home dates this summer out at sun soaked Scotiabank Field as a proud affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.
Vancouver sun seekers will embrace any of our nine weekday 'Nooners at The Nat which includes Canada Day as our afternoon delights remain one of our city's summertime traditions. As well, the Canadians will host four A&W Family Fun Sunday games with two of those dates introducing a special 5:05pm start time (June 29 & August 10).
The C's will light up the skies above Scotiabank Field nine times this summer with Fireworks Extravaganzas set to have your whole family looking skyward as they sing along with our post-game music medleys.
Once again, The BC Sports Hall of Fame & Blakes will sponsor our annual Superstar Series which will feature a handful of baseball greats. This summer, the Canadians will welcome former Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Steve Garvey on Wednesday, July 2nd, as well as former Expos great Steve Rogers (July 23), and former Toronto Blue Jays Shawn Green (August 19) and Tom 'The Terminator' Henke (August 12).
A few new items will be introduced to our fans this summer including a 'Diamond Dig' presented by The Gold Room Jewelers (July 3). As well, Canadians will hold a season long 'Fly Away' promotion where one lucky family will win a trip to Disneyland courtesy of Flight Centre! On Sunday, June 15th, the Canadians will host a Father's Day catch out at Scotiabank Field presented by Global BC.
Fans can rest assured as many of our seasonal staples remain including our annual Dog Day of Summer presented by Bosley's by Pet Valu (July 22) and much sought after Canadians Blankets benefitting The St. Paul's Hospital Foundation (August 14).
