(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - 14 Vancouver Canadians at-bats in the bottom of the 2nd inning that included a three-run home run from David Jacob, produced ten runs helping the C's power past Tri-City 11-0 on Thursday afternoon.
The ten-run frame, which put the game out of reach within minutes saw eight hits, a pair of walks and a hit batter allowing the Canadians to score a season-high for runs in a single inning. David Jacob slammed his 4th home run of the season scoring both Logan Warmoth (walk) and Riley Adams (single) as Tri-City starter Will Stillman took the loss seeing his ERA inflate from 1.54 to 5.40 after his eight earned runs come home to count.
Vancouver pitching was dominant for a second straight game as they limited to Dust Devils to just three hits as LHP Zach Logue managed the win going three scoreless innings in relief of starter RHP Justin Dillon who struck out five over his two innings.
With the win, Vancouver is now just one game back of the North Division lead (8-7) in the second half along with both Everett and Tri-City (8-7), as Spokane (9-6) was swept by the Aquasox on Thursday.
