BB&T Ballpark Construction Update

The construction of BB&T Ballpark -- the future home of the Charlotte Knights, continues to progress.

Recently, crews removed a crape myrtle tree from the site (photos attached). The tree, which was originally planted at the site in February of 1998, was re-planted in the median of the 6400 block of Old Reid Rd (about 30 feet from the intersection of Archdale Rd). It was re-located as part of a Beautification Project.

Demolition of the Virginia Paper Company Building was completed last week. Work on the building began on Tuesday, October 2.

4th Street roadwork continues, as well as mass excavation.

The entire construction process can be viewed 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the BB&T Ballpark webcam.
