Poole to Meet Fans at BB&T Ballpark May 16
(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- The Charlotte Knights will hold a special Auto Racing Night at BB&T Ballpark on Monday, May 16th and welcome Brennan Poole, the driver of the No. 48 DC Solar Chevrolet NASCAR XFINITY Series car, to Uptown Charlotte. Poole, along with Charlotte Motor Speedway mascot Lug Nut, will be on hand to meet fans and sign free pre-game autographs. Poole will also throw out a ceremonial first pitch on Monday and appear on the Sonic Automotive Pre-Game Show.
Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. on Monday and fans will have a chance to meet Poole and Lug Nut before the team's 7:05 p.m. game against the Rochester Red Wings (Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins). At only 25 years old, Poole has amassed 216 wins and nine Championships in 24 different states.
As part of the evening's festivities, the Knights are partnering with the Charlotte Motor Speedway to give away a number of prizes, including a pair of tickets to each race through the 10 days of NASCAR Thunder. Prizes will be given away to fans at Monday's game through on-field contests and social media. Fans are encouraged to follow @KnightsBaseball and @CLTMotorSpdwy on Twitter throughout the evening.
