Fourth Annual CHS Health Fair Set for Friday

(Fort Mill, SC) -- The Charlotte Knights and Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) will host their fourth annual health fair this Friday, August 24th at Knights Stadium. Fans will have the chance to visit with medical experts from multiple facilities in the area on topics of health, wellness, fitness and lifestyle improvements. The health fair is free with a ticket to that night's game.

On-site services will include blood pressure checks, BMI calculations, pulse ox readings, and hearing and balance checks. Information will also be provided on growing health concerns such as proper diet and exercise, prostate and breast cancer, parental questions, and various urgent care needs.

The Charlotte Knights and CHS are committed to making a positive contribution to the health of all Knights fans. Over the past three years, multiple organizations within CHS have hosted health fairs to educate more than 30,400 fans at Knights Stadium on preventative medical practices.

Friday's game also features a blood drive from 3:00 - 7:30 p.m. where all donors receive a free ticket to the game, and a Tote Bag giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, courtesy of the American Red Cross. Gates are set to open at 6:00 p.m. and the first-place Knights will host the Pawtucket Red Sox in game two of an exciting four-game series. First pitch at Knights Stadium is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
