Terrific Three-Game Series Starts Saturday!

August 15, 2013

(Fort Mill, SC) - Headlined by a thrilling post-game fireworks show, the return of the beautiful KnightinGals, JDRF Night with a special jersey auction, and more, the Charlotte Knights are set to host a terrific three-game series against the Durham Bulls starting on Saturday, August 17 at Knights Stadium.

With just nine home games left in Knights Stadium history starting on Saturday, the Knights will entertain fans with a 7:15 p.m. game against the Durham Bulls. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and the Knights will hold their annual JDRF "Swing for a Cure Night", presented by Atlas Copco. During the game, all fans will have an opportunity to bid on game-worn, autographed Knights jerseys through an auction located on the Knights Stadium concourse. A portion of the proceeds of the JDRF jersey auction benefit the Charlotte Chapter of JDRF.

Saturday's game also features a pre-game and in-game performance from the Charlotte Knights official Dance Team -- the KnightinGals. After Saturday's game, the Knights will light-up-the sky with post-game fireworks presented by BB&T Ballpark and News Talk 1110 WBT.

On Sunday, the Knights will host the Bulls in game two of their three-game series. Gates open at 1:00 p.m. and first pitch is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. Sunday is "Back to School Day" thanks to Classroom Central and all fans are encouraged to bring school supplies to donate to Classroom Central. Fans that bring school supplies will receive $3 off a lower level reserved ticket.

The first 1,000 kids 12 and under will also receive a Knights Lunch Box, courtesy of Belk, Inc. Every Sunday at Knights Stadium is "Family Day" presented by BB&T and all kids can "Run the Bases" after the game thanks Moe's Southwest Grill.
