Abbott Stellar In Lookouts, 6-2, Win Over Rocket City

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Lookouts bounced back and claimed a, 6-2, victory over the Rocket City Trash Pandas on Wednesday night from AT&T Field.

Andrew Abbott (3-0) had another quality start pitching 6.1 innings giving up just one run on three hits and a pair of walks with nine strikeouts to get the win. Pedro Garcia picked up his fourth hold of the year giving up three walks with no hits and two K’s. Ricky Karcher had a runless inning of work in the ninth striking out two and allowing just a hit.

Chattanooga (25-22) got on the board early plating two in the bottom of the first and tacking one more on in the second thanks to a bad throw by the Trash Pandas. Chuckie Robinson added one more with an RBI walk in the seventh and Quincy McAfee hit a two-run double to right-center to take a 6-1 edge heading into the eighth.

Rocket City (28-19) added one more in the eighth with an RBI groundout from Orlando Martinez to trim the lead to four but couldn’t do any more damage.

Braden Olthoff (0-1) got the start and loss for the visitors giving up three runs on five hits, six walks, and struck out two in 5.1 innings of work

Bryce Teodosio led the Trash Panda offense with a 2-for-3 day with an RBI.

McAfee paced the Lookouts finishing 2-for-4 with a double and pair of RBIs and Jacob Hurtubise went 2-for-3 to round out players with multiple hits

Chattanooga will be back in action tomorrow as they continue their series with Rocket City at AT&T Field on Thursday. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m.
