The Chattanooga Lookouts won 13-12 over the Tennessee Smokies in the 13th inning. The game was the team's longest of the season, clocking in at five hours and five minutes.

Tonight's game was a back-and-forth affair early with the Lookouts falling behind early 3-2. They tied it up in the fifth on a Christian Encarnacion-Strand solo home run. In the top of the seventh, the Smokies took a 4-3 lead when Luis Vasquez knocked home Nelson Maldonado.

Down a run, Jacob Hurtubise led off the bottom of the frame with a triple and scored on an Elly De La Cruz double. De La Cruz proceeded to steal third and ran home on a fielder's choice. Later in the inning, Rece Hinds belted a two-run homer to make it 7-4 Lookouts.

The two teams traded runs to make the score 8-5 entering the ninth inning. With two runners on, Jake Slaughter hit a game-tying home run to send the game into extra innings.

Both teams once again traded volleys in the tenth to make it 9-9. Tennessee appeared to have tipped the scales when they put up three runs in the 12th, but Chattanooga responded with three runs of their own to send it into the 13th.

Encarnacion-Strand delivered the game-winning single in the bottom of the 13th to give the Lookouts the 13-12 win.

De La Cruz, Encarnacion-Strand, and Hinds finished the game with four RBIs. Ricky Salinas got the win and improved to 5-4.

Tomorrow's game is Used Car Saturday presented by TVFCU and the first pitch is at 7:15 p.m.
