PITCHING DUEL AND ONE RUN

August 12, 2017

[Empty Body]

It would take just a run to win last night over the Barons but getting it scored was the interesting part in a 1-0 victory by the Lookouts. Derek Rodriguez and Michael Kopek battled for seven scorless innings with neither pitcher blinking. The Lookouts managed three hits but would not score their run until Kopeck left the game. In the eighth inning Ryan Walker led off with a double. With one out Nick Gordon would hit a grounder toward first and the first basemen could not get a grasp of the ball. When he did he threw it past the pitcher covering and Walker would score. With Nick Anderson trying to end the game in the ninth his pickoff attempt goes down the right field line and the runner is eventually tagged out when he runs past third and is tagged out. Anderson finished the game for his sixth consecutive save. One run for the win! Game four is Sunday with air tiime at 3:45 EDT on REAL 96.1 and at MiLB.com.
