PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – Justin Crawford had two doubles as part of a three-hit, three-run day as the Clearwater Threshers (32-13) came back from two runs down to take a 6-3 win over the Dunedin Blue Jays (24-22) on Tuesday night at BayCare Ballpark. The Threshers and Blue Jays resume their series on Wednesday evening.

Dunedin opened up the scoring with an RBI single in the third to take a 1-0 lead. Clearwater struck back with three-straight hits off Blue Jays starter Wes Parsons to lead off the home half of the frame.

Justin Crawford led off the third with a double and scored on the very next pitch when Rafael Marchán lined a single up the middle to tie the game. Abiezel Ramirez doubled in two more runs in the top of the fourth to give the Blue Jays the lead back at 3-1.

Emaarion Boyd led off the bottom of the fourth with a base hit, and he advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Bryan Rincon. Erick Brito singled him home to cut the deficit to 3-2. During Crawford’s at-bat, Brito stole second and advanced to third on a balk. Crawford grounded the ball to second and Santiago Espinal’s throw home bounced over the catcher, allowing Brito to even the score at 3-3.

Crawford beat out an infield hit off Dunedin reliever Fitz Sadler with one out to become the first baserunner of the sixth inning. He stole second and scored on a go-ahead single by Marchán that made it 4-3.

Boyd led off the seventh with a base hit and stole second base off Blue Jays reliever Ryan Boyer. Justin Crawford hit a double off the wall in left to score Boyd and extend the lead to 5-3. Marchán plated Crawford for the third time with an RBI single that gave the Threshers a 6-3 lead. Despite loading the bases in the ninth, Andrew Walling struck out the final batter to seal a 6-3 win for the Threshers.

Samuel Aldegheri allowed three runs on six hits with two walks and seven strikeouts in a 5.0-inning no-decision. Jaydenn Estanista (2-0) earned the win with one hit allowed three walks and two strikeouts in 2.0 scoreless innings. Eduar Segovia shut out the Blue Jays in 1.0 frame, allowing one hit and one walk. Walling earned the save in a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts, one walk, and one hit.

Walling earned his second save of the year...Crawford tied his career-high with his third three-hit game of the season... Felix Reyes got a hit and a stolen base after coming on as a defensive substitution in the seventh...
