DAYTONA BEACH, FL - As we enter the Florida State League All-Star Weekend, the Daytona Tortugas prepare to kick off the second half of the season in style. The Tortugas will partner with Wall Automotive Group, Inc. and NAPA Auto Parts for their "Daytona Nights" on Friday, July 6th, at Radiology Associates Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
The night, Daytona's version of "Talladega Nights", will include multiple NAPA Auto Parts displays, courtesy of Wall Automotive Group, throughout the ballpark, as well as specialty jerseys and postgame fireworks, as we kick off NASCAR's Coke Zero Sugar 400 weekend here in Daytona.
The evening will include a jersey auction that will feature signed jerseys from NAPA drivers, such as Chase Elliot, Ron Capps, Alexander Rossi, Brad Sweet, Derek Kraus and more, with the proceeds benefitting the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. Additionally, the Tortugas usual 50/50 raffle and their game worn jersey auction will also benefit the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund serves United States military personnel experiencing the Invisible Wounds of War: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS). When our service men and women return from the battlefield, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fun helps them fight the "War Within", by building world class advanced treatment centers and providing the best TBI and PTS care.
Since 2012, NAPA's support has helped the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund build five Intrepid Spirit Centers located in five different cities across the United States. NAPA's annual "Get Back and Give Back" campaign first launched in 2012, and has since raised a staggering $10 million.
The campaign runs during the month of July, and the Tortugas are thrilled to partner with local NAPA Stores - Chris Wall and Wall Automotive Group Inc. - to contribute towards such a great cause.
The night will be capped off with the biggest fireworks show in Volusia County following the final out of the ballgame against the Jupiter Hammerheads. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM, with gates opening at 5:30 PM.
