Ryan Keur, President

Ryan begins his third season at the helm of the Daytona Tortugas. Under Ryan's leadership, the Tortugas organization has been talen to new heights. From the addition of a state-of-the-art video board to field turf to increasing attendance by over 15%.

Keur came to Daytona from the Burlington Royals, where he was the club's General Manager. During his six seasons with Burlington, the average attendance nearly doubled and revenues reached all-time highs. Keur was named the Appalachian League Executive of the Year for three straight seasons and was the Executive of the Year for Minor Leauge Baseball in 2017, his first season with Daytona.

Keur originally hails from New Jersey and is a graduate of Elon University in North Carolina.

Jim Jaworski, General Manager

Jim is in his tenth year on the Daytona staff and first as the General Manager. Jim spent the previous two seasons as the Vice President of Business Development, after spending three years as the Assistant General Manager. Prior to coming to Daytona, Jim spent the 2009 season with the Lakeland Flying Tigers.

Jim is from Crown Point, Indiana, and is a Mass Communications gradute from Saint Joseph's College in Indiana. Jim played four years of baseball for the Pumas and also coached one year. He married his wife Stephenie in October, 2014.

Away from "The Jack", Jim is an avid fan of the Bears, Cubs, Notre Dame and the Bulls. He enjoys watching sports and getting out on the golf course. To say Jim "likes' Michael Jordan and his sneakers is an understatement.

Accounting & Finance

David Manning, Controller

David is heading into his third season with Daytona as the Controller, after a finance career in the manufacturing industry. He enjoys educating the team in financial disciplines while also having fun learning the sports entertainment business.

David is originally from Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated from Lipscomb University with a BS in Accounting.

Originally a Cardinals fan, he was persuaded to switch allegiance to the Indians after working for a Cleveland based company for nearly 10 years. But now, David has been happy to become a Tortugas and Reds fan.

Corporate Partnerships

Austin Scher, Director of Corporate Partnerships

Austin is entering his second season with the Tortugas, and his sixth working in baseball, making previous stops as a Beer Mover with the Madison Mallards, an Intern with the Burlington Royals, and a Sales Associate with the Greensboro Grasshoppers.
He has proudly represented his hometown of Durham, NC, and his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin, everywhere he's been. Aside from being the Badgers' number one fan, Austin enjoys investing far too much emotional energy in his New York Yankees, Giants and Knicks, listening to podcasts and music, and collecting sneakers.

Anderson Rathbun, Business Development Manager

Anderson is entering his second full season with the Daytona Tortugas after interning with the team in 2017. Prior to coming to Daytona Beach, Anderson spent seasons with the Burlington Royals and the Toledo Mud Hens.
Originally from Oak Harbor, Ohio, and a 2017 graduate of Clemson University, in South Carolina, Anderson earned a B.S. in Sports Marketing with an emphasis in Economics.
Anderson is a huge Cleveland sports and Clemson athletics fan. When not at the ballpark, or watching sports, Anderson likes to think he is a good golfer and a better basketball player. He is also the best ping pong player on staff.

Amy Cecil, Partnership Fulfillment Coordinator

This is Amy's first season with the Tortugas and her third year in baseball. Prior to being part of Tuga Nation, she interned with the Joilet Slammers as a member of their Promo Team and with the El Paso Chihuahuas as the Community Relations/Promotions Assistant.

Amy is from Planfield, IL and is a graduate of the University of Illinois-Springfield, where she received her BS in Business Administration with minors in Marketing and Sports Management. While going to school, she also played softball for the Prairie Stars for three years.

Being a proud Midwestener, she is an avid Chicago sports fan (Go Cubbies!) and will always stick with them... even if it's for another 108 years. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym, cooking, and hanging out with friends.

Ticket Sales & Hospitality

Paul Krenzer, Director of Ticket Operations

Paul enters his fifth season with the Tortugas as the Director of Ticket Operations. He previously spent two seasons as the Director of Ticket Operations with the Hagerstown Suns.

Paul was born and raised in rural Orrtanna, Pennsylvania, just outside of historic Gettysburg. In 2010, Paul earned his Bachelors Degree in Sports Management from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. He later earned his Masters in Management & Leadership from ESU.

Paul is a big fan of Penn State, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Orioles. He enjoys working out, fishing, going to sporting events and being outdoors. He married the love of his life, Hannah, during the offseason.

Melissa Balbach, Director of Ticket Sales

Melissa is entering her second season with the Tortugas and her fifth working in baseball. Previously, she worked as an intern with the Burlington Royals (Rookie Affiliate of the Kansas City Royals), Inside Sales Consultant with the Durham Bulls (Triple-A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) and Outside Sales Executive with the Reno Aces (Triple-A Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks).

She grew up in Burlington, NC and graduated NC State University. Outside of baseball Melissa enjoys bears, beets & Battlestar Galactica. 

Max Furbee, Ticket Sales Executive

Max is entering his first full season with the Tortugas after completing an internship with the team last season. Max comes to the team after completing his first job in baseball, an internship with the Greensboro Grasshoppers. 
Max was born in West Virginia, and spent the majority of his childhood growing up in central Florida. Max left Florida for college and attended Guilford College in North Carolina where he studied sports management. Max spent two seasons as a member of the the Guilford College baseball team, and spent his last two years at school as the commentator for the team's online broadcasts.
In his free time, Max is a passionate West Virginia Mountaineers, Atlanta Braves, and Green Bay Packers fan. In his free time, Max enjoys watching sports, listening to music, and trying his hand on the golf course.

Community Relations & Marketing

Trevor Fay, Community Relations & Outside Events Manager

Trevor joined the Daytona Tortugas in January of 2019. Prior to joining the Tortugas, Trevor spent the 2018 season as a Marketing and Promotions Intern for the Tampa Bay Rays. 

Originally from Seattle, Washington, and a graduate of Ashland University in Ohio, Trevor received his BS in Sports Management, minoring in Spanish in 2017. He played four years of football for the Eagles. 

Away from work, Trevor can be found playing pick-up basketball, hanging with family and friends, and doing crossword puzzles. He is an avid fan of University of Washington Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, and anyone playing against the OKC Thunder (R.I.P. Seattle SuperSonics). 

Ballpark Operations & Special Events

Mike Georgiadis, Head Groundskeeper

Michael Georgiadis is excited to join the Daytona Tortugas for the 2019 season. Michael grew up in New Jersey and, after high school, joined the U.S. Navy, serving for five years. After his military career concluded, Michael attended Rutgers Professional Golf Turf Management Program.

While attending Rutgers, he completed a two-year internship with the Trenton Thunder. In 2014, Michael completed another internship with Liberty National Golf Club. When 2015 came around, Michael was able to intern with the Philadelphia Phillies grounds crew. In 2016, he was offered an assistant superintendent position at Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield, NJ.

His love of baseball then brought him to the Helene Brewers as the head groundskeeper in 2017, and then to the Lynchburg Hillcats, where he held the same position in 2018. Michael loves spending time with his girlfriend, Erika, and their dog, Wally, who you will spot on the field this season. Michael loves the beach and good food!

Thomas Vickers, Stadium Operations & Events Manager

Thomas joined the Daytona Tortugas in January of 2019. Prior to joining the Tortugas, Thomas spent the last two years as the Director of Baseball Operations at Stetson University in DeLand, FL.

Before his role at Stetson, Thomas worked in Huntsville, AL, as a Stadium Operations Intern for the Huntsville Stars and an Operations Assistant in Clearwater, FL, for the Philadelphia Phillies.

Originally from Henniker, NH (The Only Henniker on Earth), and a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, Thomas received his degree in Business Administration with a minor in Sports Management.

Thomas is engaged to his lovely fiancée Kristen and the two plan to wed in October. He enjoys winning championships as a Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics fan, as well as living and breathing everything Barstool Sports.
