Tortugas open up seven-game homestand on Monday

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Daytona Tortugas return home for a seven-game homestand on Monday, April 22, starting with a three-contest set against the Dunedin Blue Jays, High-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. Among the highlights are the first Belly Buster Monday, Education Day, and Cancer Awareness Night of the season.

The homestand jumpstarts on Monday, April 22. It will be the Tortugas' initial Belly Buster Monday presented by Marco's Pizza. For just a $13 ticket price, fans can enjoy a buffet of all-you-can-eat ballpark favorites such as hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, and popcorn. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Volusia County's young minds will pack the park for Daytona's first Education Day of the season on Tuesday, April 23. Local students from various schools will take a field trip to Jackie Robinson Ballpark for a day of learning, fun, and baseball. Education displays will be set up by local partners along the Riverwalk located on the third-base concourse. That day's contest is slated for a 10:35 a.m. start.
The first three games of the homestand finish with a flourish on Wednesday, April 24. As a result of Tuesday's matinee, the Tortugas' will host their first Silver Sluggers Night presented by MetCare and Cancer Awareness Night presented by Radiology Imaging Centers on Wednesday. Daytona's 60-and-older club will be provided with fun experiences throughout the evening. In addition, the Tortugas' players and coaches will sport special-themed uniforms that highlight many local cancer survivors. That night will also mark the organization's first Wishful Wednesday presented by VyStar Credit Union of 2019. Every Wednesday home game, the Tortugas will celebrate, build awareness, and raise money for different local charities. Bark in the Park Night presented by NextHome at the Beach also caps off the first three affairs. For only $2, fans can purchase a "pooch pass" to have their four-legged friend accompany them on their "nine-inning vacation". That series finale will get underway at 7:05 p.m.
