The El Paso Chihuahuas scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning in their comeback attempt Thursday night but lost to the Albuquerque Isotopes 12-8. The Isotopes have won two games in a row after the Chihuahuas took the series opener on Tuesday.

Tim Locastro led off for El Paso and went 2-for-5 with a double and a home run. Chihuahuas leadoff hitters are now 12-for-18 over the last four games. Locastro and Brett Sullivan hit back-to-back home runs in the fifth. It was the first set of back-to-back home runs by the Chihuahuas since Sullivan and Jantzen Witte on June 30, 2023.

The Chihuahuas scored in the first inning Thursday, which was their fourth straight game with a run in the first frame. Nick Hernandez, Logan Gillaspie and Austin Davis all pitched scoreless relief outings for El Paso. The Isotopes retired the final 12 Chihuahuas batters.
