The El Paso Chihuahuas were held to four singles in their 10-0 loss to the Oklahoma City Comets Friday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. It was the first time El Paso was shut out and Oklahoma City’s second shutout this season.
Chihuahuas left fielder Bryce Johnson went 1-for-3 with a walk and was the only El Paso hitter to reach base multiple times. Jared Kollar came in from the bullpen for the first time this season after six starts and pitched five innings, which was the longest relief appearance of the season for El Paso.
Friday was the Chihuahuas’ third consecutive loss after winning the series opener. It was also the biggest losing margin for the Chihuahuas this season.
