El Paso’s Jose Azocar and Kervin Pichardo both hit home runs in the 12th inning in the Chihuahuas’ 9-4 win over the Tacoma Rainiers at Cheney Stadium Wednesday. It tied El Paso’s season high for longest game by innings.

San Diego Padre Wil Myers played first base and went 1-for-4 with a two-run game-tying home run in the fifth inning. It was Myers’ first Triple-A home run this season and his third career Chihuahuas home run, having also homered for El Paso on rehab assignments in 2015 and 2018. San Diego’s Matt Beaty reached base on a walk, a single and a hit by pitch in three MLB injury rehab plate appearances Wednesday.

El Paso’s Eguy Rosario went 2-for-6 with his league-leading 27th double of the season. The Chihuahuas advanced to 3-4 in extra-inning games, while Tacoma dropped to 5-8. Wednesday’s win ended El Paso’s five-game losing streak.
