The Oklahoma City Comets held the El Paso Chihuahuas without a hit until the eighth inning Friday night in their 11-6 win at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Comets have won the first four games of the series.

The Chihuahuas scored five of their runs in a nine-batter top of the eighth, which included home runs from Oscar Gonzalez and Clay Dungan. It was the third homer of the series for Gonzalez, who is now tied for the league lead in home runs, and the first of the season for Dungan. Gonzalez and Dungan both had two walks also. While they were held to four hits, Chihuahuas hitters had 10 walks in the loss.

Oklahoma City first baseman Dalton Rushing went 4-for-5 and the top three batters in the Comets’ order combined for eight hits and four RBIs. Oklahoma City scored in six of their eight innings. Comets starting pitcher Justin Jarvis hasn’t allowed any hits in 10.2 innings this season. Oklahoma City has won six straight games after losing on Opening Night in Sugar Land.
