A Celebration of Culture. A Tribute to Service. A Love of the Game.

Nestled beside Fort Bragg and home to the legendary 82nd Airborne Division, Fayetteville knows what it means to jump into action. Paratroopers descend from the sky with strength, precision, and unity – a symbol of service that shapes the heartbeat of our region.

Just as deeply woven in our city’s story is the vibrant Hispanic and Latino community – families, small business owners, service members, and fans who bring energy, flavor, and tradition to The ‘Ville.

The Frijoles Salterines – the Jumping Beans – were born at the intersection of those two proud identities.

The Jumping Bean represents joy, motion, and spirit. The parachute honors the brave men and women who serve in our armed services. Together, they create a symbol that is playful yet powerful – a reminder that courage and culture can rise from the same ground. Our smiling jumping bean isn’t just a mascot. He’s a tribute to the Hispanic service members who have worn the uniform. To families who have built lives here. To a city that stands strong together. And to the unshakable belief that baseball is for everyone.
