Stars of Lizard Lick Towing to Highlight Fredneck Night

Ronnie, Amy and Cousin Johnny to Be in Attendance

FREDERICK, Md. -The Frederick Keys are excited to announce that the stars of the truTV Show Lizard Lick Towing will be visiting Nymeo Field on Friday, August 21 as part of Fredneck Night. Gametime is at 7:00 p.m and gates open at six as the Keys take on the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Cast members Ronnie, Amy and Cousin Johnny will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs during the game.

One of truTV's most entertaining reality shows from 2011-14, Lizard Lick Towing follows Ron Shirley, his family and his company Lizard Lick Towing and Recovery. Based in rural North Carolina, Lizard Lick is a towing and repo company, which prides itself on being able to tow anything, from any place at any time. The Lizard Lick Towing crew made its first television appearance on the truTV show All Worked Up before receiving its own spinoff.

Ron Shirley started Lizard Lick Towing and Recovery in 1998. Since that time, Ron's company has grown from one truck to 20 trucks and a staff of 15. Known for his colorful personality and "Ron-isms" Shirley is also an ordained minister and evangelist.

Amy Shirley is Ron's wife and vice president of Lizard Lick. A former power-lifter and trained MMA fighter, Amy helps oversee the company, and ensures things run smoothly when her husband is out on repo jobs. Cousin Johnny is a "jack of all trades" who assists with repos and towing and also runs Lizard Lick meet and greets and the company's merchandise store.

There will be a Lizard Licking Towing merchandise truck on hand, as well as a tow-truck. Friday will also feature a baseball bank giveaway to the first 1,000 fans and postgame fireworks sponsored by Nymeo. Saturday at 6:00 p.m is Salute to the Orioles Night, and will include a Kevin Gausman bobblehead giveaway presented by BayRunner Shuttle. Fans can also enjoy postgame fireworks courtesy of Rentals Unlimited.

The homestand concludes on Sunday at 2 o'clock with AARP Day and a Meet the Team event, with Keys players and coaches signing autographs from 1-1:30 p.m. Additionally, the first 1,000 fans will receive a Keys card sheet presented by Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, while it is a Sunday Funday presented by Heartfields Assisted Living at Frederick.

After a Monday off-day, the Keys will begin a three-game series with the Lynchburg Hillcats on Tuesday night at City Stadium. Left-hander Mitch Horacek (7-13, 4.34) starts the Keys against Hillcats right-hander Michael Peoples. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m and the broadcast can be heard on 1450 AM The Source.
