Taco Truck Throwdown 10 To Feature Event’s First Michelada Throwdown

(Fresno, CA) - The Taco Truck Throwdown is getting a new competition this year in the shape of the event’s first ever Michelada Throwdown. The competition will feature local vendors squaring off to see who has the best recipe for the right to hold the first ever “Michelada Throwdown Champion” title. The winner will also have the opportunity to be featured at Chukchansi Park during the 2022 season. All of the micheladas will feature Estrella Jalisco beer to even the playing field. Upon purchasing their beers, fans can take them to the vendor stands to have it transformed into a michelada.

When fans purchase a beer at Taco Truck Throwdown this year, they will be given the opportunity to upgrade their drink to a michelada. If they decide to purchase this upgrade, fans will receive a voucher along with their beer that they can then take to any of the vendors to have their drink transformed. The beer plus michelada upgrade will sell for $15 at the event.

“We are excited to bring a new competition to the throwdown this year and know that our fans are going to enjoy the opportunity to taste some of the best micheladas in the Valley,” said Fresno Grizzlies President Derek Franks. “Celebrating the 10th ever Taco Truck Throwdown with a new event will give our fans something different to look forward to and hopefully start a new tradition for many years to come.”

Local michelada vendors are welcome to apply to be part of the throwdown by emailing [email protected]. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Taco Truck Throwdown 10 is scheduled to take place October 23rd at Chukchansi Park. Along with the Taco Truck and Michelada throwdowns, the event will feature headlining musical acts Mi Banda El Mexicano and Ginuwine.
