Loons Celebrate May 6 Midland Area Farmers Market Open

MIDLAND, Mich. – Dow Diamond will celebrate the opening of the Midland Area Farmers Market on Saturday, May 6, with a 4-H themed Great Lakes Loons game scheduled for 1:05 P.M. The Farmers Market returns to Dow Diamond’s Outfield parking lot for the 2023 season and officially kicks off Saturday,

*MIDLAND, Mich. *– Dow Diamond will celebrate the opening of the Midland Area Farmers Market on Saturday, May 6, with a 4-H themed Great Lakes Loons game scheduled for 1:05 P.M.

The Farmers Market returns to Dow Diamond’s Outfield parking lot for the 2023 season and officially kicks off Saturday, May 6, from 7:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. All Farmers Market attendees can utilize the Outfield parking lot as in previous seasons. Guests only attending the Loons 1:05 P.M. game can utilize Dow Diamond’s overflow lot located beyond the Outfield parking lot, the East End parking lot accessible via State St. and Ellsworth St., or any public parking available near the stadium. All Dow Diamond parking will be free for the Loons game courtesy of the Midland Business Alliance.

“Our community is fortunate to have such a strong, vibrant Farmers Market and we are excited to incorporate Loons Baseball into its Opening Day,” Loons President & General Manager Chris Mundhenk said. “May 6th will be a great opportunity to support local vendors and enjoy a Loons game all at beautiful Dow Diamond.”

As part of the 4-H themed Loons game, there will be displays throughout the concourse featuring 4-H programs including animals, agriculture, STEM, and more. Guests purchasing food at the Farmers Market and attending the Loons game are encouraged to store goods purchased in their vehicles in compliance with Dow Diamond’s no outside food or beverage policy.

The Great Lakes Loons have been a partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers since the team’s inception in 2007. Dow Diamond serves as the team’s home and also houses the Michigan Baseball Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity, and ESPN 100.9-FM.
