MIDLAND, Mich. - Up until the bottom of the 9th inning, there weren't many fireworks to speak of. But the Great Lakes Loons plated three runs to come back from the brink before leaving the bases loaded to end the game as they fell to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 5-3 on Friday night at Dow Diamond.
With the loss, the Loons have now lost eight games in a row which is the longest of the season. The Loons last lost eight straight on May 2-10, 2013, a streak that coincidentally included a series sweep at the hands of Wisconsin in Midland.
