The health and safety of our guests, employees, players, coaches, and training staff is the top priority for the Gwinnett Stripers Baseball Club. The Stripers are committed to practice the best and safest efforts to keep the community safe when attending baseball games and other events at Coolray Field.
The steps outlined below are intended to protect our guests, employees, players, coaches, and training staff. We will continue to follow the guidance of local, regional, and national health and government agencies, and commit to develop policies and procedures for safely hosting various events at Coolray Field. The input of the Atlanta Braves, Major League Baseball, and both local and regional health partners will play a significant role in informing the policies below, which may change and adapt as needed.
The Gwinnett Stripers COVID-19 plan was created with these principles in mind:
- Social Distancing and Masking – All fans and staff are encouraged to wear face masks, but no longer required. All fans and staff are encouraged to observe social distancing throughout the ballpark.
- Minimal Contact and Decreased Touch Points – Instituting new policies that reduce guests’ exposure to surfaces, including Mobile Tickets, digital-only Gameday Programs, encouraging cashless payments where possible throughout the ballpark, and other initiatives.
- Sanitization – Making sure all areas of Coolray Field undergo enhanced cleaning and sanitizing before guests enter, following the protocols set by local, regional, and national health and government agencies.
Enhanced Safety Measures
Masks – All guests and staff are encouraged to wear face masks, but no longer required.
Social Distancing – All guests and staff are encouraged to observe social distancing throughout Coolray Field. The Stripers will maintain limited socially-distanced Infield Box and Field Box seating in the event fans need more space to feel safe. Private Suites are also available for fans who want to socially distance.
Hand Sanitizers – Will be located throughout Coolray Field, including at the Main Gate, Bobby’s Tackle Team Store, Slow Pour Taproom, Home Plate Club, Suite Lounge & Bar, and other key points of the ballpark.
Staff – All Gwinnett Stripers employees are required to screen themselves for COVID-19 symptoms prior to arrival. Employees exhibiting any symptoms will not be allowed to work and should seek medical attention. Upon arrival, employees will be required to undergo temperature checks prior to entry to Coolray Field. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or above will be denied entry. All staff will be instructed to wash or sanitize hands frequently.
Communication of Policies – Guests will be instructed on Coolray Field’s policies and safety measures in advance when purchasing Mobile Tickets. Upon arrival, guests will be reminded of these policies via signage posted in high-visibility areas throughout the ballpark.
Sanitization (Pregame) – Prior to guests entering Coolray Field, all surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected, including but not limited to: handrails, concrete floors and walls, ramps, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, furniture and fixtures, kiosks, credit card machines, concession ledges, trash/recycling containers, and other touch points.
Sanitation (During Game) – Continuous monitoring and cleaning of high-touch areas will take place during each event at Coolray Field.
Sanitation (Postgame) – Once the ballpark is clear of guests, all interior spaces will be fogged and open areas sprayed with disinfectant.
Coolray Field Entry & Exit
Gate Entry – Entry queues will be clearly marked for appropriate social distancing. Ticket takers will remain six feet apart to maintain proper social distancing from guests. Guests must present their Mobile Ticket to be scanned to enter Coolray Field. Tickets and personal items are to be held by guests only, and staff will scan or view without contact.

Media members must wear face coverings at all times, covering their nose and mouth, and practice physical distancing while present at a Club facility (whether indoors or outdoors). Media members should bring their own face coverings to the ballpark, but Clubs are permitted to provide face coverings to media upon request. Clubs are permitted to require a media member to use a Club-provided face covering if the Club determines that the media member’s personal face covering is inappropriate for any reason. Failure to comply with any health and safety initiatives will result in a loss of access to the ballpark. For more information on media requests, visit GoStripers.com/media.
