Greensky Bluegrass is a progressive, jam-infused bluegrass quintet from Kalamazoo, Michigan, that combines traditional bluegrass elements with psychedelic rock, creating a unique and contemporary style that also nods to the traditional genre’s past. They have performed over 1,000 shows together over their nearly 20 year long tenure. From clubs to theaters, & festivals to other special & unique performances, they have elevated and transformed bluegrass and grown their fanbase globally along the way.
In the spirit of brightening these dark times, Greensky Bluegrass has partnered with debra of America, a non profit organization that works to improve the lives of people living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare genetic connective tissue disorder that affects an estimated 1 out of every 20,000 births in the United States; and, assists in funding the most innovative research for treatments and a cure. Through this partnership, Greensky Bluegrass will perform across 2 nights this June 25 & 26 at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA, home to Atlanta Braves’ Triple A affiliate, the Gwinnett Stripers.
These first two concerts will kick off the concert series entitled “Concerts to Cure at Coolray Field, Presented by debra of America,” with more to be announced for later in the summer. Presented in a socially distanced format, attendees will be able to enjoy Coolray Field’s amenities, while feeling the warmth & joy of live music again through state of the art sound and lights and supporting an underrepresented affliction in need of attention and awareness.
