When you think of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who is the first player that comes to mind? 2019 MVP and 2017 Rookie of the Year, Cody Bellinger? Perhaps Mookie Betts — you know, the guy that just inked a $365 million contract? Clayton Kershaw, Kenley Jansen, Justin Turner, Corey Seagar,

When you think of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who is the first player that comes to mind? 2019 MVP and 2017 Rookie of the Year, Cody Bellinger? Perhaps Mookie Betts — you know, the guy that just inked a $365 million contract? Clayton Kershaw, Kenley Jansen, Justin Turner, Corey Seagar, Joe Kelly — the roster is packed with household names. But what about Dylan Floro? Remember that guy?

The right-handed reliever spent the majority of 2017 with Iowa and was recalled by the Cubs five times, though he only appeared in three big league games. In 24 games with the I-Cubs, Floro went 3-2 with one save and a 3.88 ERA (21ER/48.2IP).

Now wearing Dodger Blue, Floro has quietly been one of the league’s most effective bullpen arms. With a 0.64 ERA over 14 games, the righty holds the fifth-best mark in baseball among full-time relievers with at least 10.0 innings pitched. His Dodgers teammate Adam Kolarek leads the way with a scoreless 10.0 innings through nine appearances. Floro has allowed just 11 hits, has walked one and fanned 11.

Since he was picked up off waivers by Los Angeles in August of 2017, after being designated by the Cubs, Floro is 9-4 with a 2.87 ERA (28ER/87.2IP) in 93 games with the Dodgers. He logged 25 games with Cincinnati to begin 2018 after signing as a free agent in the offseason, but returned to the Dodgers via trade in July of the same year.

Through five major league seasons that include time with Tampa Bay, Chicago, Cincinnati and Los Angeles, Floro is 12-7 with a 3.19 ERA (53ER/149.1IP) through 133 games.
