ST. PAUL, MN – The Iowa Cubs (51-70) began the Final Stretch of their season with a 4-1 victory over the St. Paul Saints (61-60), Wednesday at CHS Field. Iowa got out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, scoring on a wild pitch from starter Derek Law.

Abbott came one out short of his fourth consecutive quality start, allowing just one earned over 5.2 innings of work. The righty allowed three hits and three walks, while striking out five on the way to his fourth straight win.
