JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville starter Jorge Guzman matched a career-high with 10 strikeouts on Thursday, but the Jumbo Shrimp were shut out by the Montgomery Biscuits 1-0 in front of 5,605 fans from the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville starter Jorge Guzman matched a career-high with 10 strikeouts on Thursday, but the Jumbo Shrimp were shut out by the Montgomery Biscuits 1-0 in front of 5,605 fans from the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Fans enjoyed a Budweiser Thirsty Thursday, Wonderlic Night and Fifth Third Bank Night.
Guzman ceded just two walks and two hits in his six innings. Riley Ferrell turned in a perfect inning in a major league rehab assignment and Jeff Kinley also pitched a scoreless frame for Jacksonville (14-27).

The game was scoreless in the ninth inning when Jumbo Shrimp reliever Dylan Lee (0-1) walked Montgomery's (26-14) Dalton Kelly with one out. Jesús Sánchez singled, but then a pair of wild pitches scored Kelly to give the Biscuits a 1-0 lead.
Brendan McKay pitched six scoreless innings for Montgomery. Benton Moss (2-0) earned the win with two shutout frames and Curtis Taylor tossed a perfect ninth for his sixth save.

Thursday's winning raffle number of 1251362003 won a prize of $79.
