JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Walk-offs from Joe Dunand and Bryson Brigman on Sunday vaulted the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp to 2-1 and 4-3 wins over the Mississippi Braves in a doubleheader sweep from the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
The doubleheader opener was tied at one when Jacksonville (42-51, 13-10) started the bottom of the eighth with Rodrigo Vigil on second base. Corey Bird laid down a bunt, but Mississippi (42-51, 9-15) reliever Claudio Custodio's (3-3) throw to third base was late, putting runners on the corners. The Braves elected to intentionally walk Brian Miller to load the bases. After a strikeout, Dunand was hit by a pitch to force in a run and win the game 2-1 for the Jumbo Shrimp.

Ryan Casteel's fourth-inning home run was Mississippi's only offense in the opener. Edward Cabrera yielded just one run on six hits in six innings. He struck out six against one walk before ceding to Brett Graves (2-4), who fanned four in two scoreless frames.
With the Jumbo Shrimp down 1-0, Bird pinch-hit for Cabrera and singled to start the sixth. Bird stole second base and went to third on an error. He scored later in the inning on J.C. Millan's RBI single to tie the tally at one.
Jacksonville trailed 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh in the finale. Stone Garrett and Bird each singled to start the frame against Braves reliever Jason Hursh (2-3). After a force out, Millan's RBI single tied the game at three. Two batters later, Brigman cashed in the winning run with an RBI base knock to give the Jumbo Shrimp a 4-3 win.
The finale was scoreless in the second when Lazaro Alonso walked with one out. After advancing to second on a ground out, Alonso scored on Bird's RBI double.
Mississippi finally got on the board in the fifth. Ray-Patrick Didder led off with a single. After a pair of outs, Cristian Pache tripled to equalize the tally at one.
Brigman doubled to begin the sixth. After a pop out, Dunand's single scored Brigman to give Jacksonville a 2-1 advantage.
The lead, however, was short-lived. Daniel Lockhart's sacrifice fly off Tommy Eveld (2-3) tied the score in the seventh before Greyson Jenista's pinch-hit home run vaulted the M-Braves to a 3-2 margin.
Kolton Mahoney surrendered just one run on six hits in 5.2 frames in his game two start. He struck out five and walked one.

Sunday's winning raffle number of 1528120011 won a prize of $118.
