Jumbo Shrimp hold auditions to find next public address announcer
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are looking for a new public address voice at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The club's auditions will determine the next public address announcer, who will start on Opening Day presented by Rimrock Delvin and Firehouse Subs at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 at the Baseball Grounds.
The Jumbo Shrimp are asking for video submissions to be emailed to [email protected] by Sunday, March 17. The video entries should follow this script:
LADIES AND GENTLEMAN…WELCOME TO THE BASEBALL GROUNDS OF JACKSONVILLE! THE GATES ARE NOW OPEN FOR TONIGHT'S SOUTHERN LEAGUE GAME BETWEEN THE JACKSONVILLE JUMBO SHRIMP, SOUTHERN LEAGUE AFFILIATE OF THE MIAMI MARLINS, AND THE TENNESSEE SMOKIES, SOUTHERN LEAGUE AFFILIATE OF THE CHICAGO CUBS.
IN AN EFFORT TO ACCOMMODATE ALL GUESTS, SMOKING IS PROHIBITED ON THE CONCOURSE AND IN THE SEATING BOWL, INCLUDING ELECTRONIC AND SMOKELESS CIGARETTES OR ANY DEVICE THAT MIMICS THE ACT OF SMOKING. FOR THOSE GUESTS WANTING TO SMOKE, DESIGNATED SMOKING AREAS ARE LOCATED ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE CONCOURSE AND NEAR THE BUDWEISER TIKI TERRACE.
