JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sixto Sanchez tossed seven strong innings and all nine spots in the Jumbo Shrimp order collected at least one hit to lead Jacksonville to a 7-2 win over the Mississippi Braves. A crowd of 6,764 enjoyed Red Caps Salute To The Negro Leagues Night presented by Florida Blue.
The score was tied at two when Santiago Chávez led off the fourth for Jacksonville (40-51, 11-10) with a single. Two batters later, Brian Miller singled Chavez to third. An error by Mississippi (42-49, 9-13) reliever Connor Johnstone (3-1) plated Chavez to put the Jumbo Shrimp ahead 3-2. After a fly out, Joe Dunand notched an RBI base hit to widen the lead to two.

Jacksonville added to its lead in the seventh. Stone Garrett doubled and Corey Bird singled to jumpstart the frame. After a bunt put runners on second and third, pinch-hitter Anfernee Seymour lined a two-run double. Seymour scored a couple hitters later on Bryson Brigman's RBI single to make it 7-2.
Mississippi scored early against Sanchez (4-4), who walked Cristian Pache, the first batter of the game. Drew Waters promptly doubled Pache in before scoring later in the inning on Ryan Casteel's RBI triple.
That was the extent of the damage against Sanchez, who yielded two runs on five hits in his seven frames to match a career-high. The right-hander struck out four and walked one.
In the bottom of the first, Brian Miller singled before M-Braves starter Tucker Davidson walked Brigman and Dunand to load the bases. Riley Mahan lofted a sacrifice fly and J.C. Millan blasted an RBI double to equalize the tally at two.

Saturday's winning raffle number of 1258364068 won a prize of $184.
