A Season to Celebrate! Intimidators Announce 2019 Schedule

KANNAPOLIS, NC -- The Kannapolis Intimidators are pleased to announce their 2019 schedule with plans to honor their last season at Intimidators Stadium supported by Atrium Health as the 'Season to Celebrate'. Plans will be unveiled in the coming months to honor the rich history of baseball at Intimidators Stadium

KANNAPOLIS, NC -- The Kannapolis Intimidators are pleased to announce their 2019 schedule with plans to honor their last season at Intimidators Stadium supported by Atrium Health as the 'Season to Celebrate'. Plans will be unveiled in the coming months to honor the rich history of baseball at Intimidators Stadium supported by Atrium Health, while looking forward to the new Sports & Entertainment Venue that the Intimidators will call home starting in 2020.
 "There is so much history within our walls and so many fun experiences fans have had here over the past 23 years. Whether it be growing up going to Boll Weevils games, the Dale Earnhardt years, the quality time at the Ballpark with family and friends, the championship year in 2005 and watching the many great players to come through our town, there is real nostalgia. We are excited to tap into that nostalgia through a series of promotions, walk down that memory lane with our fans and have a big, five month party to close out our Ballpark in style!", said President/GM Brian Radle.
The Intimidators play 140 games with 70 of them at Intimidators Stadium supported by Atrium Health; 35 in the first half of the season and 35 in the second half. Kannapolis opens the 2019 season on Thursday, April 4th with a four game series against the Rome Braves. The first homestand will also feature three contests against the Delmarva Shorebirds and runs from April 4th - April 10th.
The season opener is one of 12 Thirsty Thursday home dates. The Intimidators will also host 11 Friday night and 11 Saturday night contests throughout the 2019 campaign. Kannapolis will host 12 firework shows during the 2019 season including July 3rd and the last game of the 2019 regular season. The marquee matchup will be on Wednesday, July 3rd when the Intimidators host the Rome Braves for an Independence Day celebration. The sky will light up with a post-game Fireworks Extravaganza following the July 3rd game.
