51s Host Sacramento From April 30 - May 3!

The 51s will host the Sacramento River Cats in a brief four-game homestand from Monday-Thursday, April 30 - May 3 at Cashman Field!

LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s PROFESSIONAL baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will open a brief four-game homestand on Monday, April 30 against the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, at Cashman Field at 7:05 p.m.

LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s PROFESSIONAL baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will open a brief four-game homestand on Monday, April 30 against the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, at Cashman Field at 7:05 p.m. The series against the River Cats will conclude on Thursday, May 3.
The 51s, under first-year manager Tony DeFrancesco, are currently on a five-game road trip in Albuquerque, N.M., against the Isotopes, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. The trip will conclude on Sunday, April 29.
The 51s organization have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of professional sports in the state of Nevada.  
2018 CASHMAN FIELD ATTENDANCE: In 12 dates, Las Vegas total is 71,257 for an average of 5,938. The season-high crowd through two homestands is 9,003 vs. Fresno on April 20. The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 mark in "home" attendance in all 35 seasons (1983-2017). The all-time attendance total now stands at 11,740,044.
The opener of the four-game homestand on April 30 will feature "Smith's Value Menu Monday."  Monday "home" games will feature a "Value Menu" for the 10th straight season! The 51s and Centerplate have teamed together for discounted food items on Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Peanuts, Cracker Jack, Pretzels and Churros for just $1.00 per item.  
The 51s organization on Tuesday, May 1 will present Smoker's Strike Out (The American Lung Association) 15th Annual School Day Game, sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield & Meadow Gold Dairy. The day will feature a field trip to 5th grade students in the Clark County School District for the special start time of 10:35 a.m. The contest will mark game two of the four-game series against Sacramento.
Over the past 14 seasons, a total of 129,652 fans have attended the morning games. Last season (May 3, 2017), a crowd of 10,342 attended the game between Tacoma/Las Vegas (Tacoma, 5-2). The 51s hosted Tucson in the inaugural "school day" game on May 6, 2004, before a crowd of 4,224.
       
The Tobacco Awareness Program, through the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Clark <st1:placetype w:st="on">County <st1:placetype w:st="on">School District, is an important event that takes place prior to the "School Day" game that serves to educate the young students on the dangers of cigarette smoking.
"The school day game is a tradition and a great event for the fifth-grade students," 51s President/COO Don Logan said. "The kids have a great time at the ballpark and the game serves as a fun and educational experience for the students with both the Tobacco Awareness Program and the opportunity to watch the 51s play baseball."  
WestStar Credit Union "Winning Wednesday" will be featured SEVEN times during the 2018 season. The remaining dates are: May 2 vs. Sacramento at 7:05 p.m.; May 9 vs. Fresno; June 6 vs. New Orleans; July 25 vs. Nashville; August 22 vs. Salt Lake; August 29 vs. Tacoma.
If the 51s WIN, fans can redeem their tickets for a future Sunday through Tuesday "home" game (excluding Tuesday, July 3 - Fireworks Extravaganza). In addition, each "WestStar Winning Wednesday," one lucky fan will also be randomly selected to be the WestStar Winner of the Game! The winning fan will receive an autographed baseball from a 51s player, a seat upgrade for their group, and the opportunity to become the guest PA announcer for a half-inning that night!
Budweiser Dollar Beer Night, presented by Laughlin, will be featured in the finale of the homestand on Thursday, May 3 at 7:05 p.m. Dollar Beer Night will be featured at every Thursday home game during the 2018 season. Proper identification and wristbands are required for dollar beer night.
 
Sacramento's roster features four of the top 10 prospects in the Giants organization, according to Baseball America: outfielder Chris Shaw (No. 2); right-handed pitcher Tyler Beede (No. 3); outfielder Steven Duggar (No. 8) and left-handed pitcher Andrew Suárez (No. 10).
Following the homestand, the 51s will embark on a brief four-game road trip to Salt Lake City, Utah to face the Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, beginning on Friday, May 4. The series against Salt Lake will conclude on Monday, May 7.
The 51s will broadcast all games on Lotus Broadcasting on NBC Sports Radio AM 920 'THE GAME', which will carry live all 140 regular season games. Also, all games will be available on the 51s website (Major League Baseball Advanced Media, MLBAM) at www.LV51.com. Russ Langer, the 10-time Nevada Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), is in his 19th season behind the microphone calling 51s baseball.
             
All 51s games (home & away) will also be broadcast on MiLB.TV via LV51.com.
Tickets for all 51s home games can be purchased at the SCE Federal Credit Union Box Office at Cashman Field. The box office is open Monday-Friday (non-game days) from Noon to 4:30 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster (1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com).
The individual game tickets for the 70-game home season are priced at $11.00 (reserved, $12.00-Day of Game); $14.00 (plaza, $15.00-Day of Game) and $17.00 (field, $18.00-Day of Game) & the blue dugout seats at $30.00 ($35-Day of Game). The traditional $2.00 discount for Military personnel is offered on plaza, field and reserved seats throughout the season.
