For Autism Awareness Day, The IronPigs are starting the afternoon with a special visit from former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, Fred Barnett, Swoop, the Eagles' mascot, and two members of the newly announced Eagles Cheerleading squad thanks to Jaindl Farms. Barnett will be available from 12-1 p.m. to sign autographs for fans. Note that only one autograph per person is permitted.
The day also features a special jersey auction presented by Legend Senior Living which will benefit the Autism Society of the Lehigh Valley. The online auction will allow fans to bid from anywhere when bidding opens this afternoon. Guests at the ballpark will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a team autographed jersey. Look for one of four tables aroud the ballpark (three on the concourse, one at the club level) to purchase your raffle tickets. This online jersey auction will conclude during the fifth inning of Game 2 and those with winning bids will be able to come down onto the field after Game 2 to pick up their signed game-worn jersey.
In addition, we will be having the first IronPigs Charities Philling the Need donation drive benefiting the Five Star Heart Project. Fans are asked to bring used/new sporting goods to be donated. Donation bins will be located around the TD Bank Plaza. These generous fans will each be given one raffle ticket per item donated for a chance to win autographed memorabilia.
Last but not least, the afternoon will conclude with the first Kids Run the Bases presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network of 2018.
