BRADENTON, Fla. - In the second game in the history of the Marauders-Tarpons matchup, two runs in the visitor's half of the ninth inning proved to be too much for Bradenton to overcome in a 4-3 loss on Tuesday night. The Marauders moved to 5-5 in home games on the 2018 season along with an even 5-5 record in ten one-run games out of the first 19 games of the season.

With the score at 2-1 with Tampa leading in the bottom of the fourth, Alfredo Reyes hooked a home run around the left field foul pole for his second long ball of the season, with both coming at LECOM Park. The score would remain tied with both teams trading an equal amount of hits throughout the game; it came down to a two run output against Bradenton reliever Jess Amedee on just two hits that put the Tarpons up 4-2 heading in to the bottom of the final inning.

Jason Delay walked to lead off the last frame and was moved to third on a Casey Hughston single, followed by a sacrifice bunt from Tyler Gaffney to put Hughston on third base with one out representing the tying run. Back-to back groundouts ended the game with the tying run on third, and the Marauders dropped to four games behind first place Jupiter as the Hammerheads split a doubleheader with Palm Beach on Tuesday.

Bradenton concludes their three game series with Tampa to end a nine game homestand tomorrow. RHP Luis Escobar gets the ball for the Marauders and will be opposed by RHP Freicer Perez for the Tarpons, with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 pm from LECOM Park.
