Special Nickelodeon Night Scheduled For Saturday
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds will host the children and teen network Nickelodeon for the second year in a row on Saturday, May 17 at AutoZone Park. Saturday night's 6:05 p.m. game and special events will be hosted by Nick personality Jeff Sutphen and feature wacky contests, the Slimulator, and appearances by Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants.
Contestants in games such as "Slime Spoon Race" and "Fowl Ball" will be pied, slimed, and watered as a reward for their participation during the special evening full of wacky contests and fun for the whole family.
Fans will not want to miss Saturday's exclusive experience at AutoZone Park. In addition to several Major League Baseball markets, the Redbirds were the only minor league team chosen by Nickelodeon to host this fun-filled event in 2014.
"We're thrilled about continuing our partnership with Nickelodeon and providing this unparalleled entertainment to our fans again this season," said Redbirds General Manager Craig Unger. "I watched their network as a kid and look forward to enjoying this special event with my children and maybe even getting them slimed!"
