MEMPHIS, Tennessee - The division-champion Memphis Redbirds tied the franchise record for wins in a season (2000) with their 83rd triumph Saturday night at AutoZone Park, 4-0 over the New Orleans Baby Cakes (Marlins), which came in front of the season's second-largest crowd of 10,532.

The shutout win was Memphis' fifth of the season, and the Redbirds improve to 83-44 with the win. The Redbirds are 37-13 in their last 50 games.
Patrick Wisdom hit his 28th home run of the season in the second inning and his second in two games, which ties him with Nick Stavinoha (2011) for eighth-most in a season in franchise history. Aledmys Díaz was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Alex Mejia had a two-run double of his own.
John Gant picked up his fifth win in his last six starts with 6.0 shutout innings, allowing six hits and striking out five. The Redbirds turned a pair of double plays in the game and stranded nine Baby Cakes on the bases. Miguel Socolovich and Sean Gilmartin followed Gant with 3.0 scoreless innings of relief.
