Hope at Bat: Cancer Awareness Night

Friday, September 22

We are proud to team up with Minor League Baseball™ and the American Cancer Society for the “Hope At Bat” campaign, an effort to raise funds and awareness in support of cancer research.

In ballparks across the country, the ACS will have cancer survivors and caregivers participate in ceremonial first-pitch events, and fans and players will have the opportunity to create “I Go To Bat For….” cards as part of in-game tributes to those who are currently battling or have previously battled cancer.

Join us on September 22 for an evening dedicated to recognizing cancer warriors, survivors, and those who have lost their battle to the disease. By purchasing a specialty ticket, you can choose one of these four hats.

Each hat represents awareness of all cancers or one of the three most common cancers in our area:

  • Blue hat = Prostate Cancer Awareness
  • Pink= Breast Cancer Awareness
  • White = Lung Cancer Awareness
  • Lavender = Awareness of all cancers

Each specialty ticket buyer will have the opportunity to dedicate a luminaria to a loved one lost, someone currently battling cancer or anyone who has overcome it. Luminarias will then be lit and placed along the base path following the game for a short dedication.
