In the series opener at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the Toledo Mud Hens captured its 10th win of the season after blanking the RailRiders 3-0.

Artie Lewicki set the tone with 6.0 shutout innings for his best start of the young season. The victory gave the Mud Hens its International League-best record of 10-3.
The Mud Hens threatened to start off the top of the first inning with back-to-back singles from Mikie Mahtook and Jim Adduci. However, a double play off the bat of Christin Stewart ended the inning.
Toledo starter Artie Lewicki ran into a bit of a first inning jam as he allowed a walk and a hit, but was able to strand a pair to get out of the inning unscathed.
Dawel Lugo put the Hens on the board in the top of the third inning on his fourth double of the year that plated Pete Kozma.
Toledo added to its lead in the fourth when Mahtook hit an RBI groundout that brought home Edwin Espinal.
Through five, Lewicki was cruising, having only allowed two hits and struck out six while working with a 2-0 advantage.
The Toledo offense got him another run in the top of the sixth when they put the first three men on base. Jim Adduci grounded into a double play that allowed Grayson Greiner to come around to score, extending the lead to 3-0.
Lewicki finished off his sixth and final inning to keep the three-run advantage. He finished with 6.0 shutout innings, allowing three hits and three walks, while striking out seven.
The Mud Hens bullpen shut the door on Scranton, as Paul Voelker allowed just one base running in his two innings of scoreless baseball. Louis Coleman came on in the bottom of the ninth and captured his third save of the season.
The Hens will face off against the RailRiders again on Saturday, sending A.J. Ladwig to the hill.
