As they approach their 20th anniversary season, the Pelicans are unveiling a locals benefit program. The program, dubbed 'My Pelicans', is designed to celebrate the team's tenure in Myrtle Beach and thank local fans for two decades of support. My Pelicans is free to join for all residents of Horry, Georgetown, Brunswick, New Hanover, and Columbus counties and will provide exclusive special events and offers year-round.

"Sports are one of the last truly shared social experiences that transcend socioeconomic, racial and political differences to bring communities together. After having successfully contributed over $2 million in Community Givebacks since the launch of our Play It Forward initiative in our 15th Anniversary Season in 2013, we challenged our staff to expand on our commitment to the Grand Strand," stated President and General Manager Andy Milovich. "My Pelicans' is a chance to say thank you with promotions and experiences specifically created for everyone that calls the Grand Strand home. We are proud to be a part of the fabric of this community and grateful for the support we've received over the past 20 years. This new program is simply our way of saying thank for 20 great years."

Fans wishing to join the My Pelicans program will be able to do so at various local fairs, festivals, and events throughout the off-season. As a part of the unveiling, online registration will be available for a limited time. Fans can become a member of My Pelicans at myrtlebeachpelicans.com/MyPelicans.

"Our Community Outreach Team will be on-hand at local events over the next few months and are excited to engage with fans, register them for My Pelicans, and thank them for their support," stated Assistant General Manager Jen Brunson. "Our first big event will be this weekend at the Little River Shrimp Fest."

The program will feature three separate identity categories. Registrants will choose the category that best suits them, thus allowing them to only receive offers that best fit their lifestyle. The categories are Kids/Family, Young Adults/Movers & Shakers, and Active Seniors.

The first exclusive event for My Pelicans members will be a Trick-or-Treat event on Monday, October 30 at TicketReturn.Com Field. Members who have chosen Kids/Family as their category will be granted access to the stadium for an on-field trick-or-treat.

"We've had success with this type of event in other markets and we're delighted to bring it to the Grand Strand," stated Milovich. "We're proud to be able to offer a safe, well-lit environment for local kids to trick-or-treat."

The Pelicans return to TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark in 2018 which marks the 20th season for the franchise and fourth as the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.
