Jordyn Adams set a new franchise record by stealing his 42nd base of the season, but the Salt Lake Bees (24-36) saw their four-game winning streak snapped with an 8-4 loss to the Tacoma Rainiers (35-25) on Thursday night.

Tacoma took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on a home run from Pedro Severino and an RBI single from Jared Kelenic. The Bees battled back with a Jordyn Adams 425-foot blast in the bottom of the third and tied things up on a Jack Lopez RBI single the next inning. Tacoma broke the tie in the fifth with a pair of runs but the Bees drew back within one as Orlando Martinez scored on an error. In the sixth, the two teams traded solo home runs to keep it one-run ballgame with Jared Walsh launching his seventh of the season for the Bees. The Rainiers would get one more run in the eighth and a pair of runs in the ninth to add some insurance.

Adams was the star of the game for the Bees, collecting his second home run in as many nights to go along with a double and his record-setting steal. Along with setting the Bees franchise record, Adams has a three-steal cushion at the top of the Pacific Coast League leaderboard. No player in Salt Lake franchise history has finished the season as the league-leader in steals.

The Bees and Rainiers will play game four of the six-game set on Friday night at 6:35 p.m. with fireworks postgame.
