Hickory, NC- The Crawdads beat the Kannapolis Intimidators 4-1 on Friday night. They currently lead the four-game series against Kannapolis two games to none.

Hickory, NC- The Crawdads beat the Kannapolis Intimidators 4-1 on Friday night. They currently lead the four-game series against Kannapolis two games to none.

AJ Alexy delivered six scoreless innings for the 'Dads. He finished the evening with five hits allowed, two walks and five strikeouts.
Miguel Aparicio got the 'Dads on the board with a solo homerun in the bottom of the sixth inning. The homerun was his sixth of the season and third in his last six games.
The Intimidators tied things up in the top of the seventh with a run off reliever Derek Heffel.  
The 'Dads quickly took the lead back in the bottom of the inning, scoring three runs. Pedro Gonzalez singled to lead off the inning. Tyreque Reed and Yohel Pozo walked to load the bases. Yonny Hernandez singled to bring in Gonzalez to score. Reed was caught in a rundown on the play but avoided the tag long enough for the runners to advance to second and third. Bubba Thompson tripled to center to score Pozo and Hernandez and make the score 4-1.
Joe Barlow sealed the victory with two scoreless innings. He picked up his third save of the season.
The 'Dads and Intimidators will play tomorrow night at 5pm. The Sidewalk Prophets will perform a post-game Christian Concert immediately following the game. A limited number of tickets are still available.
