CLEARWATER, Fla. (July 14, 2019) - After being held to two runs over 14 innings on Saturday, the Dunedin Blue Jays broke out for 11 runs on 12 hits in an 11-6 victory over the St. Lucie Mets on Sunday at Jack Russell Memorial Stadium.
Despite Sunday's loss, the Mets finished their road trip at Jupiter and Dunedin with a 5-2 record and series wins against both teams.
On Sunday, the Blue Jays erased a 3-0 first inning deficit with three runs of their own in the bottom of the first. With the Mets leading 4-3 at the halfway mark, the Blue Jays scored three more runs in the bottom of the fifth to take their first lead.
Dunedin broke the game open in the bottom of the eighth.

The Mets (18-9, 50-43) are off on Monday. They return to First Data Field on Tuesday to start a crucial three-game series vs. the Charlotte Stone Crabs (20-5, 55-36). Charlotte has won 18 of 20 while the Mets have won nine of their last 11 games. The Stone Crabs lead the Mets by three games in the FSL South's second half.
