Bullpen shines in Winston-Salem's road victory

With the game tied at three in the seventh, the Dash (11-11, 35-57) loaded the bases with two down against Pelicans reliever Tommy Thorpe (3-3). On the first pitch, Thorpe clocked Fisher on the back, scoring Luis Basabe to give Winston-Salem the lead.
From there, the bullpen took over to propel the Dash to their second straight one-run win at Myrtle Beach.
For the third straight game, the Pelicans (8-13, 51-40) dented the scoreboard in the first inning. With runners on first and second and two outs in the opening frame, Tyler Alamo lined an RBI single to right against Dash starter

Myrtle Beach knotted the contest in the bottom of the frame when Trent Giambrone was hit by a pitch from Dunning, but the Dash righty was able to induce a groundout from Eddy Martinez to keep it a 3-3 game.
Dunning ultimately tossed five innings, allowing eight hits and three runs (two earned) while striking out four. The former Florida Gator boasts a 2.25 ERA (nine earned runs in 36.0 innings) over his last six starts.
