Red Sox and Hillcats Postponed on Monday
Doubleheader scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on July 15
LYNCHBURG, Va. -Monday's scheduled contest between the Salem Red Sox and the Lynchburg Hillcats has been postponed due to inclement weather causing wet grounds at Calvin Falwell Field.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader when the Red Sox return to Lynchburg on Wednesday, July 15 at 5:30 p.m. Both games will be seven-inning affairs.
Salem now returns home to face the Carolina Mudcats on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. Ty Buttrey (6-2, 3.13) is scheduled to take the ball for the Sox while the Mudcats will counter with Andrew Waszak (5-5, 3.31) Fans can listen to the game on 1240 AM WGMN ESPN Roanoke, on salemsox.com or via the TuneIn Radio app.
