Durham Scores Most Runs In Game In '16

Indianapolis, IN --- Not since Opening Day had the Durham Bulls' offense done damage like they did Monday night, scoring a season-high nine runs on a season-tying 14 hits in routing the Indianapolis Indians 9-2 at Victory Field.

Daniel Robertson paved the way for the Bulls (12-14) with four hits and four RBI, including a three-run double in the fourth inning to give Durham a 4-0 lead. Robertson also singled twice and tripled.

Adam Wilk (W, 1-2) earned his first Durham win by working seven innings, permititng just two unearned runs. Danny Farquhar and Tyler Sturdevant each worked a scoreless inning to finish off the win.

Taylor Motter, Richie Shaffer and Jake Goebbert each had two hits.  

The win exacted a bit of revenge on the Indians, who beat the Bulls two of three last week in Durham, outscoring the Bulls 21-1 over the final two games.

In Durham's season opener, the Bulls scored seven thanks to 14 hits against the Charlotte Knights. Prior to Monday's win, the Bulls' offense managed 20 total runs in their last 10 games.

The Bulls, now 2-1 on their current five-game road trip, play the middle game against Indianapolis (12-11) Tuesday night at 7:05 PM ET with Matt Andriese (1-2, 4.28) against Jameson Taillon (2-0, 1.54).
